Pikmin 4 Is Getting A Long-Awaited Switch 2 Edition This November
It’s about damn time, am I right? Pikmin 4 has finally had a Switch 2 Edition announced at the September Direct, and it’s coming out on November 12!
Pikmin 4 was one of the best games of 2023, and ever since the launch of the Switch 2, I, as I’m sure many others have been too, have been waiting for a Switch 2 Edition, or at the very least a performance boosting patch for the system.
Well, Nintendo has delighted us with the announcement of the Dandori Academy add on, bringing three difficulty modes, and a gargantuan 72 stages to test every fiber of the micro-management skills that the Pikmin series is known and loved for. It seems one of these stages is even based off of the mobile title Pikmin Bloom!

The new mode will feature a rotation of weekly “tests” and a global leaderboard to give players a cool incentive to keep coming back to the game time after time, week after week, which I couldn’t be happier about — any excuse to play more Pikmin 4 can only be a good thing, right?
The game will also take advantage of the Switch 2 microphone, allowing you to give voice commands to Oatchi, which is a neat little addition. Now we can shower Oatchi with all the praise he deserves for being the best boy.

For owners of the game, the upgrade pack will be available to purchase for $9.99/£7.99.
Will you be diving back into the world of Pikmin and harnessing your Dandori skills on November 12th? Let us know in the comments below!
