Toei Establishes Toei Games Publishing Label

Toei Company has announced that it’s getting back into the game market as they reveal Toei Games. The company will run on a Steam first basis then expand into console releases.

Hearing that they aren’t already in the games market might trigger some red flags here, as they have plenty of games made, producing a lot of franchises like One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Digimon, but that’s the thing, they don’t develop or publish the games — they’re all licensed to other companies.

Toei plans to share their first game coming in a matter of days — April 24, to be exact — but all initial games set to release under this new label aren’t based on existing IPs.
