New Nintendo Direct Reportedly Happening This Month

A brand-new Nintendo Direct is supposedly happening later this month after the debut of Donkey Kong Bananza. It’ll probably happen at the very last week of the month.

Insider Nate the Hate talks on his podcast about the rumor, though, beyond the broad timeline, he has nothing else to really share; no exact times, content, or anything of that nature.

The timing of the Direct, though, is chalked up to August 1 being the console maker’s earnings report day, which of course, a showcase, be it a first-party Direct padded with announcements from big third-parties to a Direct focused solely on Nintendo IPs or the inverse, will no doubt look good on their records.

This isn’t even the only showcase Nintendo’s got in the pipeline, with a Pokemon Presents slated for July 22. Perhaps this rumored Direct will shed some more light on the mystery of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond‘s release date.
