Smash Bros. Ultimate Mii Fighter Issue Resolved

Nintendo has fixed the Mii Fighter issue plaguing Smash Bros. Ultimate that basically prematurely ends fights if one player is using the character when fighting in a cross-platform match.

Nintendo Everything shares that the latest firmware update seemed to fix the issue. It’s still unclear why this was an issue to begin with.
