Pokemon Winds And Waves Region Is Based On Southeast Asia
The Pokemon series has always taken inspiration from different countries for their regions — Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh are based on different regions in Japan, Unova broke the the mold as a US-based region alongside Alola. You get the picture. Well, Southeast Asia finally has their time in the spotlight with Pokemon Winds and Pokemon Waves.
While the region hasn’t been named, staples from across the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia have been spotted. As reported by IGN, the small glimpse we got told a lot about it, but of course the whole Teraleak didn’t help either, as this was part of it, but finally seeing it is a whole different story.
