McDonald’s Pokemon Promo Ends Early Due To Wasted Food In Japan

A special Pokemon promo was chugging along for a single day of its three-day run, but after the first day, it’s ended due to demand and wasted food.

As reported by VGC, there’s a special new printed Pikachu card with a McDonald’s stamp because it’s not a guarantee, of course its price skyrockets and fans descended to their closest McDonald’s. Meanwhile, PokeBeach points to people buying the meals just to get the card and then throwing it away afterwards.

If all that wasn’t bad enough, there are even reports of employees selling them illegally. So, yeah, this promotion certainly was something.
