Mario Kart World Omits Shigeru Miyamoto In Credits

Famed game designer Shigeru Miyamoto needs no introduction, but it seems Nintendo has omitted him from the credits in Mario Kart World.

Spotted by Stealth30k on Bluesky, noting that this is the first main line game that he’s absent from in the series, with mobile release Mario Kart Tour being another example.

Shigeru Miyamoto is not in the credits of Mario Kart World. Not even as a Special Thanks.

In recent years, Miyamoto, who’s responsible for some of Nintendo’s most iconic franchises from Mario to Zelda to Star Fox, and more, has shifted to a less hands-on position.

So, while we wouldn’t expect him to be front and center, we would’ve expected some sort of name in a “special thanks” part of the credits.
