GameStop Is Auctioning Its Switch 2 Stapler
So, GameStop is auctioning off the infamous stapler that damaged a number of Switch 2 units during launch night. It also comes with a refurbished Switch 2, specifically the first-known damaged unit from the seller’s stapling mishap.
An eBay listing popped up with a certificate of authenticity and a post on social media confirm this to be a legit GameStop listing. They aren’t just pocketing the money, though, as proceeds will benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which is a non-profit that helps raise funds for children’s hospitals.
At the time of writing this, the listing is sitting at $108,895, with over 174K views in the last 24 hours. The auction ends next week. Not gonna lie, it’s wild that GameStop is going to raise over 100K for charity just by selling a stapler.
