Nintendo Will Shut Off Rumble If Used For Too Long

Reports are surfacing that prolonged use of the rumble on the Switch 2 will lead to the feature getting automatically turned off. Nintendo has yet to explain this.

Users on Reddit (via IGN) share the issue, with a vast array of time between the warning. Some say it’s an hour, others say they get it after 20 minutes. Intense sections, like the minigun sections in Cyberpunk 2077 are likely the big culprit of people getting this pop up, though there are other high rumble sections of games.

Nintendo never explained this pop up, but some expect this is some sort of battery saver function that fans can’t turn off. Some note this warning was a temporary one that led to a few minutes of non-rumble before going right back to normal.
