Nintendo Delays Zelda Movie Months After Revealing Launch Date
Nintendo has announced that they’re pulling the reigns back, now releasing The Legend of Zelda movie in May 2027. The movie, which is backed by Sony, was originally set to release in March 2027.
Nintendo’s Shiguru Miyamoto took to Twitter to reveal that they’ve reeled back its release date due for “production reasons,” without going into more detail.
Back in 2023, Nintendo announced that they’re partnering with Sony on a live action Zelda film. In March, Nintendo revealed March 26, 2027 would mark the film’s release. Now, it’s May 7, 2027.
As it stands, it’s unclear what these “production reasons” are, but with the crew attached, including Venom’s Avi Arad, it’ll probably be worth the wait.
